Yoga and Meditation Retreat in Spain

New Year's Eve at Ananda Ashram

Yoga and Meditation Retreat in Spain

Back in November, I had one of the best travel experiences to date: one whole month of yoga in India. Since coming home, I have realized just how great I feel when I eat right and exercise each day, and I know that I want more of my trips to be about wellness in the coming years, and this includes going on yoga and meditation retreats.

Next month, my yoga school, Rishikesh Yog Dham, is holding a seven-day yoga and meditation retreat in Spain with owner, Arvind Basliyal. Arvind is easily one of the best yoga instructors I have ever had. Each day, he pushed us to be the best version of ourselves and taught us to correctly align our bodies in the asanas. I learned an invaluable amount of information from him, and highly recommend his classes to anyone who has an opportunity to take them. Arvind is professional, humble, and teaches the way every yoga instructor should.

But, I wanted to give you all the details, just in case you were looking for an opportunity like this. Location & Accommodation

Mallorca is the largest island in the Balearic Islands, Spain surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea. The island is an extremely popular holiday destination with beautiful beaches and mountains that create an unforgettable experience.

In Mallorca’s heart, we find Casa Iemanja, the venue selected for our yoga retreat. It is located 40km away from the Airport of Palma de Mallorca, and it offers an intimate space to reconnect, de-stress, and balance body, mind, and soul. The house has amazing views to an incredible pond and is surrounded by nature and fruit trees. The accommodations are charming and all rooms are shared with private bathrooms.

Daily yoga practice will take place in a huge room with white walls, wooden floor and natural light. This spot has the necessary elements to create the perfect atmosphere to develop the right yoga practice.

Food

Yoga and a healthy diet goes hand-in-hand. Our in-house talented chef will focus on healthy, organic vegetarian food to keep participants calm and energetic at the same time.

Instructor

Arvind Basliyal is the founder of Rishikesh Yog Dham, a leading yoga teacher training school in Rishikesh, the world capital of yoga. He is an E-RYT 500 and has an experience of teaching yoga since 2009. Since 2013, Arvind has been teaching at his own school and has hosted multiple yoga teacher trainings year round. Having taught in China, Russia and India, he has gained a lot of experience in the field of yoga. He makes his teachings special and unique with his methodology, yoga stretching techniques & alignment corrections, in-depth yoga knowledge, vast experience and the Indian touch to top it all!

Having studied under Arvind for a month, I would recommend any of his retreats, workshops, or yoga teacher training intensives with full confidence. Never have I felt more supported, inspired, and confident in my yoga asanas, and I continue to feel that way even after training. I wish I could make this retreat, but hopefully, I’ll be able to make one in the future.
