Music Monday: July

Road Trip!

Music Monday: July

I’m revamping Music Monday a bit for the summer months, and quite possibly permanently. Instead of the one song going out each Monday, I will write one post on the first Monday of each month. That post will include my favorite picks for life on the road that month.

I’ll include new songs, as well as a few of my older favorites. The format will look the same, except you can look forward to a few more songs, and a couple less posts. Enjoy!

Battles by Hudson Taylor:
I will lift her love and I’ll break your spirit, I will dig a hole and I’ll throw you in it, only time will tell if we’re all just cynics on the run. If we’re all just cynics come undone.

The Sun by Parov Stelar feat. Graham Candy
Now I’m gonna tell my momma, that I’m a traveller. I’m gonna follow the sun. Don’t stop, you got to move. Keep moving on, keep moving on. I’m never gonna stop.

Deeper by Ella Eyre
There ain’t no contract and I go when I choose to leave and I don’t want that. That’s not something that I need and you know that it takes two and I don’t feel the same as you. When I think back, oh, I see now I always knew.

Afterglow by Wilkinson
Even though the dancing’s done, don’t worry ’cause the night is young. Who cares where we go, we’re ready for the afterglow. Someone hold the sunlight back, ’cause we want this night to last.

Travelling Woman by Bat For Lashes
Hang on travelling woman, don’t sacrifice your plan. ‘Cause it will come back to you, before you lose it on the man. Never fall in love with potential, ’cause you can’t see with your own eyes. All the pretty faces and sorry words, can take away your pride.

I Followed Fires by Matthew and The Atlas
Give me to the road upon the heart that I had sold. Warm my heavy hands. My heavy hands for you to hold.

Waves by Mr Probz
My face above the water. My feet can’t touch the ground, touch the ground, and it feels like I can see the sands on the horizon every time you are not around.

Clair De Lune by Flight Facilities Feat. Christine Hoberg
Don’t go, tell me that the lights won’t change, tell me that you’ll feel the same, and we’ll stay here forever.

Volcano by Damien Rice
What I am to you is not what you mean to me. You give me miles and miles of mountains, and I’ll ask for the sea

Do It Again by Robyn & Röyksopp
We do what we want, and as soon as it’s done. We just do it again. Let’s do it all, and when we come down, we just do it again. Don’t care what they say, it hurts so good. I don’t wanna stop, I know I should, but let’s do it again.

Spread the love

Haha, I know, I could have added more, but I figured ten was probably good. There’s some ones on here you’ll definitely like. 🙂

Really loving Matthew & the Atlas and Flight Facilities. Hadn’t heard of either before.

    Thanks for the shares, Erin!

Thanks, Charles! Yea, they are both pretty great. I’ve had them to share for a bit now, and always seemed to replace them with something else. They are two of my favorites. 🙂
