The Beaufort Hotel in London

Afternoon tea at The Beaufort Hotel

The Beaufort Hotel in London

When I visited The Beaufort Hotel for tea in November, I knew I had to stay at the property the next time I was in London. Little did I know that chance would arise just a month and a half later. Before heading to Barcelona for New Year’s Eve, I planned a two day stopover in London and took the opportunity to stay at The Beaufort.

Christmas stay at The Beaufort

From Heathrow Airport, I took the Piccadilly line to the Knightsbridge station and walked a few blocks to the hotel. Once I arrived, it felt in many ways, like I was coming home again. The tree-lined, residential cul-de-sac that The Beaufort is located on feels far away from a tourist destination, and even the entrance to the hotel feels like an entrance to someone’s home; a welcome change to the average hotel lobby.

During my last visit, I had toured the hotel property and fell in love with the simple design and luxuries offered, so there were no surprises on my return trip. But, what I didn’t see on my last visit was the comfort that was underneath. In fact, my room was so comfortable, that instead of going out my first day in London, I hopped into bed and fell fast asleep. After a hectic holiday season, it was one of the best sleeps I had had in months.

After my nap, I ordered afternoon cream tea to my room, just one of the complimentary amenities offered when you stay at The Beaufort. It was the same tea I had had during my last visit to the hotel, and it was just as good as I had remembered. After a nap, it really hit the spot and got me ready for my evening in the city.

Fortunately, cream tea isn’t the only complimentary amenity offered up at the hotel. There’s also free wi-fi, non-alcoholic beverages during the day, and alcoholic beverages during the evening hours. It’s the little touches like these that made me feel more at home at The Beaufort.

Complimentary champagne

That is probably the best way to describe the family-owned hotel. It’s luxurious enough to feel far from home, yet with the personal touches of a home away from home. Due to this, and the kindness of the staff, I never once felt lonely, even though I was traveling alone.

The Beaufort Hotel is a sanctuary in the middle of London, and I would gladly return. With complimentary touches that make guests feel more at home, plus a convenient location that allows for both a feeling of escape or the ability to be in the center of it all, the hotel truly offers the best of both worlds.

I received a media rate for my stay at The Beaufort Hotel, but that in no way affected my opinion of the hotel or my stay. As always, all views are my own.

If I didn’t have family in London to stay with this hotel would definitely be on our short list for return visits.

That’s my experience with Ireland too! So many great hotels, but I have all my family there, so no need for them. 🙂

Anywhere that serves cream tea is a winner in my book. I miss scones!

Exactly! Delivered right to your door too. It’s a pretty special place.

Did I read this correctly? Did I read something about free booze? If my eyes are not deceiving me, then that is the most incredible amenity ever. I am so there.

Yes, Ted! Free alcohol! This is the very best amenity. Totally your hotel. 🙂
