A Love Affair with Travel

A Love Affair with Travel

No matter where I go or who I meet, I tend to fall in love quite easily; I can’t help it, I’m a hopeless romantic. Give me an interesting city, a beautiful beach, or a conversation with someone from another country, and I’ve fallen helplessly in love with every single detail of the situation. I’m easy to please, especially when it comes to seeing the world, which is why today, it’s all about my love affair with travel.

Travel has been the most influential aspect of my life, and the lessons that I’ve learned about myself and the world have been invaluable. Because of travel, I’ve been able to meet people from all over the world, learn lessons about other countries, see the beauty of a sunset across the globe, and challenge myself to get out of my comfort zone. In my eyes, nothing is more romantic than travel.

There’s nothing I love more than boarding a plane and traveling through the sky to some far away exotic location. There, I’m able to experience my life fully and spend my days exactly as I please. I take my time, eat slowly, and wander the streets, letting life take me where it wants me to go.

A Love Affair with Travel

The most beautiful part of travel is what it puts us through and who we are at the end of our journey. It isn’t always easy, but it has the power to completely change who we are and the directions our lives are headed.

Relationships are meant to challenge us, and travel has always done this for me. It’s brought me to tears, left me stranded, and broken me down to my most vulnerable points. But, through these challenges it has helped me grow and shaped me into the person I am today.

Relationships are meant to take you out of your comfort zone and help you grow. I can’t think of a human relationship that has done more of this for me, than my relationship with travel has. It has opened me up and pushed me to become a better person than I was before I traveled. I appreciate not only the world and people who live here, but I have learned to better appreciate and love myself.

Isn’t that what the best relationships should do for us? I believe it is, which is why it is my love affair with travel that I consider to be the most special one in my life; it will always be my greatest love.

Lovely, lovely, lovely! 🙂 I completely attribute the brevity of my dating relationships to the fact that I put travel first. Travel challenges us and then shows us how beautiful the world is. That’s a pretty good relationship! <3

I completely agree, Karisa! Travel always comes first for me too, but I think it’s a good thing.

Well said! I think I’m in the same boat as you, however I wouldn’t mind having a partner in crime to love it with me sometimes 🙂

Hey, if it wasn’t for travel you wouldn’t have met me (albeit very briefly in Toronto)! Your love affair with travel is quite obvious. Keep on keeping on and follow that love affair to the ends of the earth.

uhhh I have goosebumps and totally agree with you. I learned so much on my travels and will hopefully learn a lot more in the future. I love to arrive at a place I’ve never been before, find my way into the city and see all these new things. I noticed that I actually like the hectic of airports and train stations, simply because it signifies movement and a beginning of a journey. Travel gives you so much, I cannot think of living without it.

I can’t think of living without it either! You gave me goosebumps too – I completely agree with you!!!
