Music Monday: Dead Sea

Lake Placid

Music Monday: Dead Sea

Artist: The Lumineers

Song: Dead Sea

Favorite Lyrics:

Like the Dead Sea
You told me I was like the Dead Sea
You’ll never sink when you are with me
Oh, Lord, like the Dead Sea

Whoa, I’m like the Dead Sea
The finest words you ever said to me
Honey can’t you see,
I was born to be, be your Dead Sea

You told me you were good at running away
Domestic life, it never suited you like a suitcase
You left with just the clothes on your back
You took the rest when you took the map

While I have loved The Lumineers for a while now, I had not heard Dead Sea. Luckily, last weekend, I had ten hours in the car with Francesca of The Working Mom’s Travels. By this time, we hadn’t spent a lot of time together, but we knew we had similar tastes in music, so I was looking forward to having her in charge of the iPod for the trip. Craig, of Stay Adventurous, can agree that Francesca is the person you want in charge of music on a road trip.

On the way home, she put on Dead Sea because she thought the lyrics were really sweet and that I would like them. Well, she was absolutely right. Not only did I like them, I felt a strong connection to what they were saying. Now, I can’t stop listening!

Spread the love

Ahhh!! I was waiting for this post! So glad you love “Dead Sea” as much as I do. It’s kind of become our theme song for the weekend. Thanks for the kind words about my DJ-ing abilities 🙂 I will be your DJ/Co-pilot anytime. xoxo (PS – Craig made a GREAT Backseat Bitch!)

Absolutely agree with you, Francesca! You are more than welcome to be my co-pilot at all times, not only were you good with music, but when I got into trouble on the road. Either way, it was the best road trip and weekend ever. Love you (and Craig too)! xx
