‘Cause they say home is where your heart is set in stone
Is where you go when you’re alone
Is where you go to rest your bones
It’s not just where you lay your head
It’s not just where you make your bed
As long as we’re together, does it matter where we go?
Home home home home
I love the idea that home is not just about a building or a place, but can be anywhere you are with the people you love. Almost exactly two years ago, I shared another song called Home, but that one was by Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. In my post about the song, I wrote:
“My house is only my home when it’s full of the people that I love. Which means that home can be wherever I am when I’m with the people I care about the most. I like thinking of home in this way, because then I have had a home in some of the most beautiful places in the world, and to me, that is just perfect.”
To this day, even two years later, I feel the same way, and I’m so glad that I’ve found another song that relates to those feelings.
