It’s been a while since I’ve crossed a border, my winter trip to Montreal to be exact, which is why I am ecstatic to be visiting Canada once again this coming weekend. This time, however, I’ll be introduced to an entirely new city, Toronto.
The reason for this trip is for TBEX – a conference for travel writers and bloggers, and another first for me. While there have been other TBEX events, this is my very first one, and I couldn’t be more excited.
Who I’ll be With:
I am actually driving up with my younger brother and his friend, so together we’ll be eating wings in Buffalo and taking in the beauty of Niagara Falls (a bucket list item of mine!), until we split up in Toronto. There, he’ll be headed to some crazy concert, and I’ll be with my fellow bloggers in the Real World TBEX house. To follow us, and our insane antics, be sure to follow the #RWTBEX hashtag all weekend long; it’ll at least provide some good entertainment.
Where I’ll Be Staying:
Thanks to FlipKey, I’ll be staying in this Luxury Victorian Townhouse in Downtown Toronto with some of my favorite troublemaking blogger friends. Not only is the townhouse beautiful, but it has an outdoor patio perfect for enjoying a few cocktails.
What I’ll be Doing:
During the day, it will be all about conferences and networking, and at night, there will be plenty of fun events and cocktails. But, I’m most excited to catch up with friends, old and new, and hear all about the travels I’ve been following. I also hope to explore a bit of the city, as well, since I’ve never been to Toronto, and if I can squeeze it in, I’d absolutely love to do the Edge Walk at the CN Tower. I only have two and a half days there, so I’ll do as much as I can, including eating as much poutine as I can get my hands on.
