Thanksgiving is upon us here in the States, and it is my absolute favorite time of year. In my life, gratitude has become very important, so to me, there’s nothing better than a holiday that focuses on being grateful and reflecting on the past year.
While I have more than enough in my life to be grateful for, I want to focus for a minute on travel. Without travel, I would not be the person I am today, and so for that I am grateful. Travel has taken me to five continents and introduced me to new cultures, people, traditions, food and drink. It has forced me to grow and become the person that I know I was always meant to be. And so, in honor of Thanksgiving, a few words of thanks to travel for all it has done for me thus far.
Thank you, travel…
For the friends I’ve made from all around the world.
For helping my push through my fears.
For allowing me to see how other people in the world live.
For opening up my senses through my surroundings.
For showing me how little I need to be happy.
For teaching me more than I’d ever learn in a classroom.
For showing me what a sunset looks like on the other side of the world.
For getting me more in touch with nature.
What has travel made you grateful for?
