Autumn Love.

Autumn Love.

Happy First Day of Autumn! Can you tell that I’m excited? Now, don’t get me wrong, I love the summer, and I am sad that it is slipping away, but I also love the excitement that each new season brings in. By the end of one season, I’m usually anxiously awaiting the next one.

What is it I love about Autumn? Pretty much everything. I love when the leaves start to change color, the layers of sweaters and scarves, pumpkin everything, the crisp air hitting my face, Halloween, just to name a few.

Like every year, there are many activities I am looking forward to this season. For instance, every year, Lara and I celebrate with a Festive Fall weekend, where we head to a local farm for cider, cider donuts, and running around hay mazes. Sometimes we also head up to Connecticut to visit friends, go wine tasting, and sit around a big fire in the middle of nowhere. Other times, we go to West Point for a football game, not that we actually ever watch the game. No matter what we do, it always involves stopping at Starbucks for Pumpkin Spice lattes, and usually we make pumpkin pie or pumpkin soup.

In addition to the activities I find myself doing every year, I am looking forward to adding a few more to the list.

Apple Picking
Pumpkin Picking
Going on a Hayride
Hiking
Mountain Biking
Rock Climbing

These are just a few of the ways I plan on spending the next few weeks. Some I haven’t done in years – going on a hayride and pumpkin and apple picking – and others will be brand new – rock climbing and mountain biking. Either way, I cannot wait to see what else is in store.

How do you plan on spending the new season?

Spread the love

You mentioned all my favorite activities. Gotta love Fall coffee drinks, especially the Pumpkin Spice. 🙂 Nothing like college football tailgating this time of year too. Lot’s of walking and driving in the Midwest to checkout and capture all the great Autumn colors ahead.

Delicious! Love Autumn so much! I haven’t been to the Midwest for Fall, but I must make it there.
