Asia is a continent that I have been intrigued by for as long as I can remember. In fact, even after watching Brokedown Palace when I was in 8th grade, I still wanted to visit Thailand, despite the cockroaches, drug smuggling, and depictions of prison in Thailand. It was the culture and visuals of the country that grabbed my attention the most.
To me, everything about Asia is pure magic: the traditions in India, the beauty of the Maldives, the history in Cambodia, the food in Japan, culture in Lebanon. The list goes on and on. Each country intrigues and inspires me to one day visit and experience each part of the culture first hand. What amazes me most is that even though these countries are all part of the continent of Asia, they are entirely different from one another – as they saw in Southeast Asia “Same, Same, But Different.”
With so many different countries filled with different cultures and people, the opportunities available are truly endless. Making it easy to discover each part of Asia and the magic held within each country.
My eyes were opened to the incredible continent of Asia this past summer, as I was lucky enough to visit Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam. Now I cannot wait for the opportunity to explore each and every corner of largest continent in the world.
