Recently, I read from The Case for Skipping Class by Christopher Elliot, which is featured in National Geographic Traveler, May-June 2011. To me, learning through travel is the best form of education. In the article, this quote was mentioned, and I felt compelled to share it with you.
“Traveling is learning in a 3-D; it’s an opportunity to grow and become what otherwise isn’t possible.”
Travel is all about learning, and even as a teacher, I find it a better education than what can be given in the classroom. You need to go out and experience the world in order to better understand it. What I’ve learned by traveling has been invaluable.
